My Dance Life
My early ballroom training began with the Arthur Murray Ballroom Dance Curriculum. My teenage and young adult education continued with Fred Astaire Dance Studios in Tennessee. I have competed, performed, and choreographed across the U.S.
NYC welcomed me with several scholarships including Alvin Alley American Dance Theater. While in NYC, I taught for Fred Astaire Broadway, worked on the set of Saturday Night Live, appeared on stage and received choreographic credits in several “Off Broadway” shows.
Upon returning to the Mid-South, I established the Desoto Ballroom Dance Company, with focus on dance education, coaching, and choreography. I have taught in the Desoto County MS school system as well as the Jackson Home School organization. I developed both the first Salsa Dance and West Coast Swing dance platforms in the Mid-South. I have trained a number one ranked female amateur ballroom dance competitor in the USA. And I am currently the longest established ballroom dance instructor in the Memphis, Jackson, and the surrounding area, who is still teaching today. I instruct all levels of American ballroom dance curriculum, and I look forward to being part of your dance life.
